“Skysparkle (2006) owes its appearance as much to Len Lye’s ‘Wind Wand’ as it does to Dr Seuss. Rising 4m tall into the sky it playfully interacts with its environment, sparkling in the sunlight and bobbing in the breeze. The crystal ball dangles just out of reach – magic is always just tangible and myths are constructed from bits and pieces.”
